Watson Lake – Prescott AZ

Watson Lake is one of two reservoirs at the Granite Dells, outside of Prescott, Arizona that was formed in the early 1900s when the Chino Valley Irrigation District built a dam on Granite Creek. The City of Prescott bought the reservoir and surrounding land in 1997 to preserve it as recreational land.  Watson Lake was used in scenes for the film Billy Jack.

Boating: There is a small paved boat ramp for you take your own small boat out on the lake (no gas motors). During the warmer season, you can also rent kayaks and canoes at the lake.

Parking Area ($2) with 14 Trailer Spaces with plenty of parking.

Camping: Overnight camping is allowed during the summer months (until Labor Day Weekend). RV camping is allowed, but there are no hookups. However, Point of Rocks Campground (next to the lake) does offer hookups for RV campers.
A big plus is, there are showers in the bathrooms for campers.

Fish Species
Largemouth Bass: The last two spring seasons have been really good for bass fishing in Watson Lake.
